We finally met in person!!!

I have been working hard to get our page updated. We havent been around much since the end of the MPM because we have had alot going on with our weight loss group on Myspace. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that Lacey adn I are no longer strangers (meaning we had never met in person)! We finally met for the 1st time EVER on July 6th, 2008!! It was an amazing experience and she is sooo much more fun to be around than I had ever imagined. She stayed until the 7th and then had to go back home Sad I miss her soooo very much, but I will see her again soon.
 
When I hit my 50lbs lost mark, I am taking a trip to Oklahoma to see her! I cant think of better motivation than that! I hope you guys enjoy the vblogs and all the pics. Let us know what you think!!

Where have we been?

HEY EVERYONE!! I know that we havent been on here since the finale, but we are still going just like the Energizer bunny...LOL! I got frustrated with myself for not losing weight and kinda "let myself go" and gained about 20lbs. I have since lost 10 of those pounds and am curently woking on the other 10lbs. Lacey's last weigh in put her at 188lbs! So that is another 10lbs that she has lost since the finale!! I am sooo proud of her and thankful that she has stuck by me and didnt give up hope on me. Thanks girl!!
 
We are doing a weight loss competition with our myspace group right now. Things are going great. We have about 43 people doing it with us and we are starting Week 3 of a 12wk challenge. If you guys would like to join our group or check up on us anytime you can find us here.....

March 9th weigh in

new Steph stayed the same this week

I really wanted to do good this week. I know that I could have exercised more. Sad That seems to be something that I have been making a lot of excuses about lately. I really thought when we got our new TV this week that I would be back on the bandwagon....little did I know that 57inch hi-def TV would keep my butt planted on the couch...Tongue out LOL! I feel like I let Lacey down. She did so great during the MPM and even got below 200lbs!! I am so proud of her and I hope that she is just proud of me for not giving up! But I know she still loves me!! Open-mouthed

Our Vblog Filmstrip to summarize our experience with the Million Pound Matchup will be up by Tuesday! Look for it!!

 Hello everyone! I was a little disappointed at this weeks weigh in...although i had a loss..i was hoping for more so we could go out with a bang!! This experience has been amazing!! :) We have been through bad weigh ins and some really amazing ones! I am so glad that you were here to share our journey with! :)  We have made some life long friends through this experience and I am so grateful for it!! Thanks for being there for us through are bad times , to celebrate the good times, and to encourage us to keep going!! You all have been amazing!!!! ~ Stephanie I couldn't have picked a more perfect partner! You did NOT let me down...I am so proud of you for keeping your head up and not getting discouraged and giving up! girl look how far you've come!! You are almost down 50 LBS!!! That is AMAZING!! Best day EVER!!!!!!

I had the absolute BEST  DAY EVER!!!! I can't believe how much fun it is to get treated like that! LOL! I couldn't sleep hardly at all the night before...I was too excited!!! The morning started off great by me trying on some pants that i hadn't worn in 4-5 years...they are size 12/14 AND THEY FIT!! I was elated!!! Then Lindsey came and picked me up and her Kenzie and I went and got our hair done..it took 4 hours for us to get our hair done but it was so much fun!! Then we went and had lunch at Chipotle(best Mexican food EVER) Then we went and got our nails done! I got Solar Nails, a pedicure, and my eyebrows waxed! I FEEL LIKE A PRINCESS!!! I can't believe how great it made me feel! I feel girly and I haven't felt feminine in A LONG TIME! :D Its amazing! Here are some pictures from my celebration!! :D

new 504 Stephanie gained 1 lb this week

Well, I gained 1 lb this week. I am not the least bit upset about it. Actually, I am relieved. This week has been the worst week since I started back in July. I had a rough week. My husband was working out of town and we still managed to fight the entire week. And I found myself reverting back to old habits and finding comfort in fast food and laying around on the couch. I only managed 30 minutes of exercise this week and that was last Monday!

I was expecting a gain when I got on the scale this morning. So I held my breath, hoped for a miracle and stepped on.....and it showed a 1 lb gain!! I was so relieved! I feel very fortunate that it was not worse than that. Today is a new day and the beginning to a great week!!

I can't even believe this is happening!!! I started crying this morning when i stepped on the scale...I haven't been in ONEDERLAND since my wedding almost 5 years ago...I've been trying to get back there every since!! I am elated I can't even describe my feelings right now!!  A Special THANK YOU to Stephanie..girl you are my rock..you keep me going even when i have a gain..girl you will beat that scale next week I KNOW YOU WILL!!We're gonna get you to that 50 lb mark!! Without you this wouldn't have been possible..so thank you steph I owe you sooooooo much (BIG BIG HUGS)!! And Thank you to all of you who have been continued support through this Million Pound Matchup!!  Hopefully next week will be just as good and it will be great for steph!!

Beginning of week 3 on my BL challenge

I have been using the Biggest Loser workouts lately instead of the Walk away the pounds. I have the BL power sculpt and the BL cardio max dvd. I HIGHLY recommend them!! Anyway, during the intro on both dvd's, they say that if you use them together you will have amazing results. And it has a 6week program ready for you if you are game to try it.
 
I have been doing this challenge now for 2 weeks. The first week I lost 4.6lbs! And then last week I gained 3lbs, thanks to my period. So, I am at the beginning of week 3 now. And the workouts get harder. I did the week 3-4 program on my cardio max dvd and I didn't quite make it to the end, but almost. I got about 30min of a 40min workout. Hey, better than nothing, right?
 
My goal is to be able to get through the entire workout by the end of the week. I will be alternating both workouts daily and 2 days I will be doing both of them. Hoping for a great weigh in this week!

Well, here we are again. Another week, another gain. There was really nothing that I could have done better this week. I ate good and exercised great. I started my period friday night and I knew that my weigh in would not be good. Next week should be great though!! Hopefully I will hit my 50lb mark then!

 Sorry No picture this week guys!! My computer was on the fritz and i don't have one!! Its not good news anyway :( I gained 1.4 lbs!!!!! I guess a hurt back and no exercise and an oncoming period really does a person in!! HOPEFULLY....IM PRAYING...that next week will be my week to be under 200!! AS for my BACK....it feels MUCH better...still not 100% and there is an unexplained gigantic bruise on my back right where it has been hurting so i'm not sure what THAT is from...but i'm just glad I can bend over now!! So now its WORKOUT ON again!! Starting March 1 my cousin Lindsey and I will be walking 5 miles a day again!! I CANT WAIT!!! Hope all is going well for everyone else!! ((HUGS))

I can't believe this is happening :(

This was supposed to be MY WEEK! the week I got under 200 lbs!!! I was doing so well..working out every day...then yesterday Ryleigh stuck my charger in coffee and I jerked to catch it before she did and i hurt my back! I think i might have pinched my sciatic nerve!!! I'm not able to bend over or sit for long periods of time! The only thing that feels good is if i'm laying down!! I am doing good on my eating but i'm just not able to exercise!! I keep thinking why did this have to happen this week of all weeks!! UGH i can't believe this happened!! I'm still hoping to get under 200 but i'm just not sure anymore!! Check in on Sunday and If i don't get under 200...we can cheer steph on as she reaches her 50 lbs lost mark!!! talk to you soon!! I can't even believe that I lost 4.6lbs this week! It is so amazing! Just last week I was trying to get over a plateau, and the I have a 3lb loss last week, and now a 4.6lb loss this week! I am SOOOO HAPPY!! I am only 1 lb away from hitting my 50lbs gone milestone! Next week belongs to us!! I will hit my 50lb mark and Lacey will be under 200!! We are gonna throw a party and you are all invited!!!

OUR NEW BRACELETS ARE HERE!!!!!!

  WE FINALLY GOT OUR BRACELETS!! YAY!! We have been waiting and waiting for them to come and I finally got mine in the mail! THANX STEPH! Open-mouthed I love love love them!! We have one that is black and pink and it says "Dreams are goodSleeping half-moon Star Realities are better Sleeping half-moonStar" then the other is glow in the dark pink and it says "Staryour friendship Stargives me strength! :D so even at night i'm reminded that I have steph with me on this weight loss journey! I absoluetly love them both!! Look for them in our pictures tomorrow!!

Weigh in is tomorrow and i'm so scared!!! I have done well with my food this week but not so hot with my exercise!! I am really wanting to be under 200 this week but i'm not getting my hopes up!! I haven't been pulling real big numbers lately so in order for me to be under 200 I'd have to have lost 3 lbs....which lets just be real honest...probably isn't gonna happen!! I can't stress enough how it gets more difficult to lose weight once you've lost for awhile!! I took some advice from Jenn from the biggest loser and she told me to eat a big meal on my weigh in day to shock my metabolism and then go back up to my 1650 calories!! So thats what i've done and i have to be honest...i'm nervous! I trust her judgment being that she learned from the best, Jillian and Bob....but Its hard going from 1450-1650. You almost feel like your cheating or something ya know! Well....stayed tuned for our weigh in....See you at the scales tomorrow!! LOVE YOU!! ((HUGS))

Amazing pics!!

Some of you know that Lacey and I have been at this weight loss thing for a while now. Since July 2007, as a matter of fact. Anyway, we have both been struggling lately with our losses (or lack there of) and we came up with a great idea! We both put on our old clothes (fat clothes as we call them know) and took pics so that we could see just how far we have come! I want to show y'all mine and you let me know what you think! It was a great motivational boost! I really have come a long way! I am so proud of myself!!

My 6wk challenge for myself!

Over the weekend, I bought a few exercise dvds at Walmart. They had a whole pallet of different workouts for less than $10 each!! I bought another WATP, and I bought a dance workout, and I bought 2 Biggest Loser workouts; cardio max and power sculpt.
 
The WATP is a good workout, but the music is really low and I didnt care much for it. The dance workout frustrated me more than anything! I could not get my body to do the things those girls were doign and I got mad after 10 minutes and turned it off. I guess it will just collect dust now...LOL. But the Biggest Loser workouts are AWESOME!!
 
At the beginning of each BL dvd, Bob, Jillian and Kim are talking and say to use the 2 dvds with each other to get the best results. And they already have a 6wk workout plan set up, you just have to follow it. SO I jumped on the bandwagon! My body has not been responding to the WATP workouts like it used to, so a change in my workout is just what I need!
 
Tonight was the first night that I did both dvds together. WOW, what a workout!! It recommends doing them 3-5 times a week, so I am going to do it 4 times a week and then use my exercise ball and handweights the other 2 days. I might not see results this week because I will be building muscle, but that will be okay with me!
 
I highly recommend these 2 workouts!!! And for less than $10 each, how can you resist?

We have a challenge for you!!

There are 30 days left in the Million pound matchup! Can you believe that it is almost over? Of course, 30 days from now, we are not stopping our journey to healthier bodies and we hope you won't either. So here is our challenge for all of you out there....
 
3 days this week add the following to your workout....
 
30 squats                             30 lunges (each leg)
30 pushups                          30 jumping jacks 
30 crunches                         30 second jog (in place)
 
It's not much, but it will help burn some calories and get us all closer to our goals! Post here and let us know how you did or leave us a message on our snapvine recorder! Go America!!

I am glad to see a loss this week. I bought some bew workouts this past week, the Biggest Loser workout being one of them, and I am going to start doing those instead of the WATP. Once I break through this plateau, I will go back to using the WATP and alternate in all the different workouts I have now. I am going to add in lots more fruits and veggies to my meals this week and get in all my calories too. And I hope for another loss next week! Thanks for everything!! Love you all!!

P.S. Lacey, you will be in onederland very soon! I know that you will make it because you won't give up! And thanks for not letting me give up! And I just wanted to say congrats to you for making it out of the OBESE category and into the OVERWEIGHT category, that is an amazing accomplishment! Who knew that we would be here today? Without you, our myspace group, windows livespaceand the MPM, and all the friends that I have made along the way, I would never be 45lbs lighter today. Thanks everyone, for cheering me on every step of the way!!

Tonight's episode of the Biggest Loser

First off, let me say....
 
Jackie looks incredible!!
 
At the beginning of the show, when Jillian was talking about the amount of calories her team was eating, I felt like she was talking to me too. That really is something that I struggle with. After years and years of hearing "eat less, lose weight" it is really hard for me to believe that I am not eating enough. But, tonight's show was a real eye opener. I am going to have to do whatever it takes to make sure that I get all my calories in.
 
I was so happy that the black team won the weigh in. They are doing great! Good for them! I was not so happy to see that the blue team lied about who they were gonna vote off. But I guess that is how the game goes. And next week's episode should be even better! I can't wait! I hate waiting a whole week to see the next episode. Anyone else think that Biggest Loser should be on every night of the week...LOL!
